Making Waves: Security Bank Launches New, Game-Changing Wave Mastercard

Targeting today’s savvy, budget conscious and environmentally aware customers, Security Bank launches a no annual fee credit card for a new generation.

Last February 5, Security Bank launched a new no annual fee credit card. The product is called the Security Wave Mastercard, and it was unveiled by brand ambassadors Solenn Heussaff and Erwan Heussaff in an exclusive event at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City.

Speaking about the innovation of the Wave Mastercard, Sanjiv Vohra, President and CEO of Security Bank said, “At Security Bank, we’re always looking for innovative ways to deliver on our BetterBanking promise, providing the best banking and customer service experiences.”

The credit card, he said, is “designed to meet the needs and preferences of today’s savvy, budget and environmentally conscious customers.”

What Is the Wave Mastercard?

The name of the credit card Wave is a play on words, with a number of meanings:

1. Wave Goodbye to Annual Fees

The Security Bank Wave Mastercard is the latest no annual fee credit card in the market.

2. Wave Goodbye to Restrictive Interest Rates

Cardholders will enjoy an interest rate of just 2.5%. This is among the lowest interest rates among credit cards in the Philippines.

3. The Wave of the Future

In addition, the Wave Mastercard embraces the future of e-commerce. Customers will receive 1% cashback on all online purchases, whether it’s for shopping, dining or travel.

4. A New Eco-Conscious Wave

Today’s consumers are mindful and environmentally conscious about every purchase they make. To reflect this, the Wave Mastercard’s design features wave imagery: a promise that the Wave Mastercard is a lifestyle companion that will help customers “save money, earn rebates, and protect the environment.”

For a limited time, until March 5, 2024, customers who apply for a Security Bank Wave Mastercard and are approved will receive a free PHP2,000 eGC. To apply for the Security Bank Wave Mastercard, visit https://securitybank.com/wave.
