Steering Rebisco to New Heights: CEO Awards Honoree Jonathan Ng

The Business Manual recognizes REBISCO Vice Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ng in its second CEO Awards as one of the country’s top business leaders.

As the vice chairman and CEO of Republic Biscuit Corporation (Rebisco), the company his father founded in 1963, Jonathan Ng understands what legacy means. The company has since grown from its humble beginnings as a neighborhood bakery, and under the leadership of its next-generation leader, continues to be of the trailblazers of the FMCG industry.

Recognizing his leadership in continuing and strengthening the legacy of Rebisco in the Philippines, The Business Manual honors Jonathan Ng in its CEO Awards 2025.

Continuing a Family Legacy

Founded by his father, Jacinto Sr., and initially known as the England Biscuit Factory, Rebisco was once a two-storey bakery that employed 15 workers, who churned out biscuits using only one English-type rotary oven. Since then, Rebisco has expanded to other food categories such as nuts and seeds, cake snacks, and packaged breads.

Leading in Every Arm of the Business

Today, Rebisco is no longer just a company that specializes in snack food, expanding its portfolio to include different subsidiaries. Throughout the growth of the Rebisco Group, Ng has held key leadership positions that have allowed him to drive growth and steer the family legacy in the right direction.

Ng is presently the chairman of Asia United Bank (AUB) as well as Omnipack Industrial Corp. He holds the position of president of SFI Multimix Corp., where he is also chairman. In addition, he is the president of Suncrest Foods, Inc., Multirich Foods Corp., and Rebisco Retail Stores Corp.

Going Beyond FMCG

Under Ng’s leadership, Rebisco has gone beyond the snack market and FMCG industry to dip its toes in arts and sports. Rebisco highlights the importance of family and Filipino values through its producing and sponsoring of films such as “Four Sisters and a Wedding” and “Seven Sundays.”

Ng has also made significant contributions to sports, making him a key figure in Philippine volleyball. Rebisco’s endorsements with national athletes and support for the national team highlights the company’s wish to bring honor to the country.

Awards and Accolades

Jonathan Ng’s steadfast leadership and contributions inside and outside of the FMCG industry have been recognized through the years. His contributions to sports, for example, has earned him the award of Executive of the Year from SPIN.ph.

His leadership has steered Rebisco towards excellence and continued prominence in the industry, earning the company multiple accolades in the past years. These include the Silver Apple Supplier of the Year Award from the Trade Partners’ Awards, the Asian Export Award (Snack category, Large Corporate division), and the Best Social Media Growth Story Award at the People Insights Awards.
