HONOR Philippines Rises to TikTok Shop Top 20 Brands with Transformative Performance

The tech brand was ranked 13th overall due to Honor Philippines’ strong performance in Q4 2024.
In Q4 of 2024, HONOR Philippines secured its place among TikTok Shop’s Top 20 brands in the Phones & Tablets category. Thanks to a robust 1.7x performance increase, the company emerged as a standout performer on the platform, achieving a ranking of 13th overall. The mobile and tablet manufacturer attained this distinction by leveraging TikTok Shop’s full ecosystem through a three-fold approach to drive visibility, create engagement, and convert to sales.
HONOR achieved a 174% growth in gross merchandise value (GMV) in Q4 2024 compared to the first three quarters of the year. This success was driven by a strategic digital approach that included targeted product drops, viral content creation, and high-impact ad placements—all guided by TikTok Shop’s ACE (Assortment, Content, and Empowerment) Indicator System. This system of digital tools enabled HONOR to measure and optimize its performance on the online platform effectively.

Strategic Product Drops
HONOR Philippines’ strong online selling performance was driven by a three-step strategy focused on creating visibility, driving engagement, and ultimately increasing sales. The first step was strategically timing product launches and special offers. For example, the company introduced the HONOR X7c during TikTok’s 11.11 Paskong Panalo Sale, which amplified brand visibility during a peak sales period.
“We strategically time our product launches to coincide with major sales events, ensuring maximum consumer engagement and higher conversion rates,” said Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines.
To further enhance its online presence, HONOR introduced exclusive promotions, including special discounts on the HONOR X9b. With this offer, the company gave customers 10% off during regular sales and up to 30% off when they used TikTok Pay Later, a credit-based payment method which allows customers to “shop now and pay later” with easy installments.
These well-timed initiatives gave HONOR’s products an even stronger competitive edge. Stephen Cheng explains, “By aligning our releases with peak shopping periods, we create heightened anticipation and provide customers with exclusive deals, making our offerings even more compelling.”
Content that Drives Engagement
To expand its reach, HONOR Philippines hosted daily TikTok livestreams, averaging 12 hours per day, to directly engage with potential buyers.
This live selling strategy led to a 400% increase in Live GMV (gross merchandise value) during the 12.12 Paskong Panalo sale. Even more impressively, live selling revenue increased eightfold quarter on quarter, demonstrating the effectiveness of interactive shopping experiences.
Beyond livestreams, HONOR amplified its presence by participating in viral challenges and trending short-form content, further boosting customer interaction.
Conversion to Sales
Targeted ads played a crucial role in converting visibility and engagement to sales. To this end, HONOR Philippines used a variety of precision-targeted ad formats available on TikTok Shop. These included Product Showcase Ads (PSA), Video Shopping Ads (VSA), and Live Shopping Ads (LSA).
As a result, HONOR achieved a 4.5x increase in return on ad spend (ROAS). The company also earned a spot among the top 11 brands in the Phones & Tablets category during the 12.12 sale.
