SM Store Celebrates Earth Day with Green Finds
The retail giant will unveil its Green Finds pop-ups in premier locations, a key part of the SM Green Movement.
As part of SM Store’s celebration of Earth Day 2024 on April 22, the retail giant will once again unveil its Green Finds pop-ups in all premier locations. This effort to support and promote sustainable businesses can be found in SM Aura, Megamall, Mall of Asia, North Edsa, and Makati, as well as selected branches nationwide.
In addition to these pop-ups, shoppers can easily identify eco-conscious products by looking for the Green Finds badge on display throughout the store, as the Green Finds collection is also part of other SM Retail brands. Shoppers can find sustainably-sourced clothing with SM Fashion, natural beauty products under SM Beauty, and eco-friendly home essentials under SM Home. Beyond the many sustainable brands under SM Retail, the Filipino consumer can also expect a greener shopping experience.
Supporting Sustainable Businesses
These efforts to promote sustainable businesses in the retail space come at a relevant time. As Earth Day approaches on April 22, the Philippines is experiencing the effects of climate change with a heat wave with record-breaking temperatures gripping the nation.
The SM Store and its retail partners have long taken the lead in promoting sustainable retail practices through initiatives like the Green Finds Program. The program seeks to offer consumers access to eco-friendly products sourced from natural ingredients which also support local communities.
SM Green Finds is one of the key programs under the SM Green Movement, a sustainability initiative that covers the entire SM group. The movement aims to encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration to create a shift in mindset and behavior toward a better and improved quality of life for every Filipino. It is anchored on three pillars: Green Planet, Green Culture and Green Living.
Previously, SM Store put the focus on sustainable businesses created by women during Women’s Month, which was also part of its Green Finds efforts.
