realme Launches 14 Series 5G, New Tech Advancements at MWC 2025

realme’s massive plans for the next three years were given the spotlight at this year’s MWC 2025.

Smartphone brand realme took center stage at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, introducing new and exciting products and sharing ambitious plans for the next three years.

Key highlights from realme’s showcase include the launch of the realme 14 Series 5G and the unveiling of the brand’s groundbreaking Interchangeable-Lens Concept, poised to revolutionize mobile phone photography.

“As realme embarks on a new era of growth, we are committed to user-driven development to achieve sustainable breakthroughs,” said realme Vice President and CMO Chase Xu.

Xu added, “Our new strategic plan focuses not only on market expansion but also on our dedication to empowering the younger generation as a tech popularizer, consistently exceeding global users’ expectations in technology.”

realme 14 Series 5G

The global launch of the realme 14 Series 5G, the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing smartphone lineup, happened at MWC 2025. The series features the “Unique Pearl Design,” a product of realme’s collaboration with Valeur Designers.

The “Unique Pearl Design” features advanced thermochromic pigments, which enables the 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro to transition from pearl white to vibrant blue in cooler temperatures. The series also comes in the Suede Grey variant, a nod to the elegance of luxurious vegan suede leather.

The 14 Pro Series also debuts the world’s first MagicGlow Triple Flash for pro-level nighttime portraits and holds the TÜV Rheinland Rugged Smartphone Certification with IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings. This means that units from the 14 Pro Series can be used underwater for up to an hour.

The realme 14 Series 5G is set for a local debut on March 20, 2025.

Interchangeable-lens Concept, Other AI Technologies

Aside from the launch of the 14 Pro Series, realme likewise introduced its Interchangeable-lens Concept. While still in its prototype phase, it seeks to take mobile phone photography to a whole new level with its 1-inch custom Sony sensor and a unique lens mount system, which allows users to attach DSLR lenses to their phones.

The Interchangeable-lens Concept features two professional-grade lenses—a 73mm portrait lens and a 234mm telephoto lens—that deliver optical clarity never before seen in mobile devices.

In addition, realme also introduced two remarkable AI imaging technologies that aim to make photo and video editing easier for users. First, the AI Voice-based Retoucher lets users edit their photos using voice commands such as “Remove the background” or “Add fireworks in the background.”

Second is the AI Video Eraser, which lets users effortlessly eliminate unwanted objects or people from their videos with just a single tap.

realme’s Ambitious Three-Year Roadmap

With plans to accelerate its market growth starting in 2025, realme has revealed its goal to double its global user base in the next three years. The brand also plans to focus on strengthening its presence in the mid-to-high-end market around the world.

To turn these plans into reality, the brand has unveiled a three-year roadmap that focuses on product development, brand enhancement, and technological innovation.

realme presented the global positioning of its three signature product lineups, which include the following:

  • The GT Series, branded as the “Next-Level Performance Flagship with AI”
  • The Number Series, featuring “Next-gen Performance & Camera”
  • The C Series, positioned as “Better Tech for Youth”

The brand also revealed plans to continue its efforts in AI integration for smartphones, enhancing mobile AI capabilities and encouraging the next generation to explore the endless possibilities of AI.

Highlighting its NEXT AI initiative, the brand shows its commitment to delivering advanced, accessible, and user-friendly technologies in AI imaging, efficiency, and gaming. realme also revealed plans to ship 100 million AI-powered smartphones around the world, along with the development of a premium chipset experience and large battery capacity for all its product lines.

Understanding the Needs of Young Users

“Realme’s plans for 2025 and beyond highlight the brand’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its young users, emphasizing value and innovation. Eager to shape the future of gaming, realme has partnered with top gaming companies and titles, such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLB), Free Fire, Honor of Kings (HOK), and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BMI).

The aforementioned partnerships will bring exciting event activations, bold co-branding opportunities, innovative technology integrations, and many more.

realme likewise seeks to drive innovation in three key gaming areas: delivering breathtaking visuals with high frame rates, ensuring smooth connectivity with ultra-low latency, and crafting immersive, user-focused experiences. Gamers can expect exciting e-sports events, cutting-edge technologies, and exclusive product customizations in the future.

realme also plans to have highly anticipated collaborations with prominent IPs across various industries. Every year, the brand will team up with at least one influential IP that resonates with the culture and values of global youth.

This year, in particular, the brand is poised to announce two groundbreaking collaborations with leading entertainment and luxury IPs. These collaborations will culminate in the release of exclusive limited-edition products that will push the boundaries within the industry.
