PRA Re-Elects Board of Directors, Names Golden ABC’s Alice Liu as President

All 15 incumbent directors retained their positions following the elections held by the PRA.

The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) successfully held its 23rd Board Elections during the PRA Annual Meeting at The Westin Manila on June 25, 2025.

The PRA re-elected all 15 of its incumbent directors. These directors will serve a two-year term, which begins this year and ends in 2027. 

PRA Re-Elects All 15 Incumbent Directors 

The following PRA directors will serve a fresh term after their re-election:

• Alice Liu, President and CEO of Golden ABC, Inc. 
• Ben Chan, Chairman of Suyen Corporation
• Bienvenido V. Tantoco III, President of Rustan Commercial Corp.
• Faraday D. Go, Executive Vice President of Robinsons Recreation Corp.
• Harvey Ong, Chief Operating Officer of Alfametro Marketing Inc.
• Jorge T. Mendiola, Director of SM Retail, Inc.
• Kok Bin Chan, Chairman of CMG Retail, Inc.
• Lorenzo C. Formoso, Chairman of ENCEL Trade Corp.
• Ma. Alegria S. Limjoco, Director of Central Books Supply Inc.
• Mars C. Chua, President of Sportshouse International Leisure, Inc.
• Atty. Paul Angelo A. Santos, President of Picture City International Corp.
• Roberto S. Claudio, Sr., Chairman of Quorum International, Inc.
• Rosemarie B. Ong, SEVP & COO of Wilcon Depot, Inc.

PRA Board Elects Alice Liu as President 

The new PRA Board then convened and elected Golden ABC, Inc.’s Alice Liu as the PRA President. She will hold the same two-year term as the Board of Directors. 

Liu succeeds Roberto Claudio, Sr., who will now take on the role of Chairman of the Board. In a statement, the PRA expressed its sincere gratitude to Claudio for “his visionary leadership and steadfast service, which is anchored in advocacy and a profound commitment to the retail industry.”

The PRA likewise welcomed the election of Liu and expressed their confidence “in her ability to invigorate the pulse of the retail industry and amplify its voice.”

In an exclusive statement, Liu said, “As I take on this role, I look forward to working alongside our members and the Board of Directors to navigate the continued disruption brought about by AI, the shifts in consumer expectations it brings, and the increasingly competitive landscape with more global players entering our shores.
