A masterclass will precede the two-day conference, which will be held in Cebu for the first time since 2015.

Now in its seventh year, Geeks on a Beach (GOAB), an international tech startup conference, is returning to Cebu for a one-day masterclass and two-day conference. These events will take place from November 13 to 15 in Mactan. 

The conference was previously held in the province more than a decade ago in 2015. 

“Bringing Geeks on a Beach in Cebu in 2015 for the first time helped nurture the province’s dynamic startup ecosystem, building on Cebu’s history as an ICT industry investment hub since the 2000s,” said GOAB Founding Advisor and Plug and Play Tech Center Philippines Co-founder Jojo Flores. 

For the lead organizers of GOAB, bringing the conference back to Cebu solidifies the province’s status not just as a rising tech hub, but also as a destination for investment in Asia.

What to Expect 

GOAB 2024 will begin on November 13 with the GOAB Masterclass, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Investor’s Roundtable Dinner will take place on the same date from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

The GOAB Conference is scheduled to take place from November 14 to 15. The conference will begin at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. 

Among the activities scheduled for the conference are panel discussions featuring keynote speakers and industry leaders, business matching, and flash consultations. Startups will also be given the opportunity to pitch their products to potential investors, partners, customers, and collaborators.

How to Purchase Tickets

Those who wish to attend GOAB 2024 will need to purchase tickets. A ticket to both days of the conference costs PHP 14,000, while access to both the masterclass and the conference costs PHP 18,500. 

A ticket exclusive for investors costs PHP 27,000. This includes access to both the masterclass and conference, as well as the private dinner scheduled for September 13.
