Conde Nast’s Beauty Magazine, Allure, names Philippine Editor-in-Chief
Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, who has two decades of experience in the beauty industry, wants to shape Filipinos’ image of beauty and identity, as incoming EIC
Entrepreneur, best-selling author, beauty journalist and model Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, has been appointed Editor-in Chief (EIC) of Allure Philippines.
Mananquil-Trillo was chosen by MEGA Global Licensing Inc., the local partner of its publisher, Conde Nast, to lead the magazine’s third international edition, and will bring 20 years of experience in the business of beauty to the role.

Allure Philippines will launch in English-language print, digital, and social platforms, and hopes to empower Filipinos to celebrate their identity and diversity through expert-led global and local beauty content.

Leading Allure Philippines allows me to shape how Filipinos see themselves through stories of beauty, wellness, authenticity, diversity, inclusivity, social responsibility, and empowerment. We won’t just be reporting on beauty—we’re actively shaping it for the next generation,” says Mananquil-Trillo.
The incoming EIC, graduated with a degree in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University, an Executive MBA from the Asian Institute of Management and a degree in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Her work in beauty and fashion has spanned two decades. She is a columnist for The Philippine Star, former president of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP), a beauty entrepreneur, and the author of the book Read My Lips: What It Takes to Be a World-Class Homegrown Brand. In her current work with UN Women Philippines, she has been advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment since 2020.
Allure Philippines is set to launch its print, digital and social media platforms in March 2025.
The global beauty and personal care industry is a booming market with an estimated value of $585 billion as of 2024, according to Fortune Business Insight. The Philippine beauty industry is likewise estimated to be in the billions of dollars, and continues to enjoy steady growth, thanks to the influence of various trends such as Korean beauty, among others.
