News of the partnership comes after Ayala Land’s recent acquisition of another hotel property.

Ayala Land Hospitality (ALH) and Marriott International have partnered to bring the latter’s lifestyle brand, Moxy Hotels, to the Philippines.

The first Moxy Hotel in the Philippines will be Moxy Circuit Makati, a 21-hectare development that will feature 260 rooms and suites.

“Our vision remains steadfast: to bring Filipino hospitality to the global stage by crafting experiences that connect guests more deeply with each place and its culture,” said Ayala Land Hospitality President and CEO George Aquino, according to a report

“With Moxy Hotels, we offer travelers a playful and vibrant hotel experience. We’re excited to collaborate with Marriott to create what we believe will set a new benchmark for authentic, dynamic and imaginative urban destinations,” Aquino added.

Strong Presence in the Global Hospitality Landscape

Known as the more playful and fun brand of Marriott International, Moxy Hotels has multiple locations worldwide.

“Moxy Hotels is celebrated worldwide for its playful, high-energy vibe that makes travel feel exciting and different,” said Marriott International’s Director of Hotel Development for the Philippines Kevin Iranzo in a report. “It’s the perfect fit for dynamic urban destinations filled with culture and entertainment.”

The Philippines is the latest addition to the list of its Asian locations, which already includes China, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.

Other global locations include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

ALH, Marriott Grow Portfolio in the Philippines

The announcement of Moxy Hotels’ launch in the Philippines signals the continuous growth of ALH’s portfolio. This milestone supports Ayala Land Hospitality’s goal to double its room inventory to 8,000 by 2030, in line with its nationwide expansion strategy.

The news of the partnership with Marriott came just a few days after ALH’s acquisition of the New World Hotel Makati was announced.

According to ALH, the acquisition of the Makati hotel is “part of a larger thrust to sharpen its portfolio of properties in high-growth urban centers, particularly in Makati, where it already operates a number of business and lifestyle hotels.”

Marriott International continues to expand its portfolio here in the Philippines. Last May, Marriott and CG Hospitality announced that the famed wellness destination, The Farm at San Benito, will be converted into an Autograph Collection resort.
