Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra (“Gorriceta”) held a thanksgiving event last September 6, 2022, at one of Asia’s top 50 bars in Bonifacio Global City.

Taking this to mind, Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra (“Gorriceta”), a top-tier full-service law firm in the Philippines, held a thanksgiving event last September 6, 2022, for its clients and friends. Set at Shangri-la the Fort—one of Asia’s top 50 bars in Bonifacio Global City—the venue was an intimate coming together of important names and faces who have extended their support throughout the years.

Keynotes and Highlights

Kicking off the festivities on a good note, the firm’s Managing Partner, Atty. Mark S. Gorriceta personally thanked their clients and friends for their continued support. He even acknowledged the attendees from the different business sectors in his speech as a show of his appreciation for their continued trust.

What’s more, Atty. Gorriceta said that this event allowed the firm to finally reconnect with their clients in person, as their interactions have mostly been limited to Zoom calls and online messages—no thanks to the pandemic.

The speech included an introduction of the firm’s partners, as well as a refresher on all the practices in which the firm is involved. In fact, Atty. Gorriceta even highlighted that Gorriceta has been recognized and consistently ranked as a top-tier firm by various international organizations—a feat that was achieved thanks to the support that they’ve received all throughout.

Wine, Whiskey, and Conversations. This was the theme of the event and its festivities. With that, the night was kept alight with fine food and libations. From a generous selection of premium wines to an 18-year-old whiskey (provided by Moet Hennessy’s careful curation), guests feasted on Shangri-la’s exquisite menu pairing to accompany these spirits.

In this event, guests didn’t leave empty-handed. In fact, they all took home special Johnny Walker-infused Truffles—created by Christian Valdes for CMV Txokolat—while Gorriceta gifted the ladies with Narciso Rodriguez Perfumes and Anessa Sunblock, courtesy of the Firm’s friends from Shiseido Philippines.

On the other hand, the gentlemen received Alec and Bradley Gate Keeper cigars—2020’s No. 7 cigar of the year with a near-perfect 95 rating by Cigar Aficionado.

Shangri-la’s celebrated chefs prepared an exquisite menu pairing to accompany the free-flowing spirits that all guests were treated to.

To liven things up, Gorriceta hosted an exciting raffle event for its guests. Lucky winners included Ms. Martha Borja—the Country Head of Grab Financial Group—who won a luxurious two-nights and three-day vacation at the Sea View Pool Villa of Amorita Resort in Panglao, Bohol. What’s more, Mark Yu, the financial and oil maven of Seaoil, was the lucky winner who scored a rare and highly coveted Omega x Swatch Moon Moonswatch!
