CDO Highlights Its Special Role in Holiday Celebrations with ‘A Taste of Home This Christmas’ Event
At CDO’s “A Taste of Home This Christmas” event, the company showcased how CDO Holiday Ham and Danes Queso de Bola have become integral to Filipinos’ Christmas.
Christmas in the Philippines is a season marked by joy, unity, and the food that brings families closer. As Filipino families prepare to celebrate the holidays, CDO Foodsphere Inc. plays a special role in their festive traditions. This year, CDO highlighted this role with an event titled “A Taste of Home this Christmas,” a festive brunch designed to showcase the company’s holiday staples. The event, which sought to inspire new ways to elevate Noche Buena celebrations, was held in collaboration with Jones All Day from Raintree Restaurants. It featured a delicious spread of holiday-inspired dishes, each incorporating CDO Holiday Ham, Danes Queso de Bola and other CDO products to create an unforgettable holiday meal.
CDO VP for Marketing Bernice I. Jalgalado spoke at the event, saying, “We, at CDO, aim to enrich the lives of Filipinos through our well-loved brands and products. And knowing that Christmas is one of the most important celebrations in the country, we want to highlight not just CDO food products that have become holiday staples, but also different ways Filipinos can make the season even more delightful and meaningful for their loved ones.”
To showcase exactly how CDO products help to create a more meaningful Christmas, one of the country’s most popular chefs and content creators shared tips and cooking demonstrations for the audience. These special guests included Small Laude, Nicole Anderson and Chef Marky Bartolome.
Elevating Noche Buena with CDO Holiday Ham and Danes Queso de Bola
At the heart of the event were two iconic products: CDO Holiday Ham and Danes Queso de Bola. CDO’s Holiday Ham, made from 100% premium meat of pork hind leg, is known for its rich and smoky flavor, enhanced by a special pineapple sauce that makes it a festive favorite. Danes Queso de Bola is a favorite among Filipinos for its blend of creaminess with classic natural cheddar.
In addition to these favorites, the event featured a variety of other CDO products, from San Marino Premium Spanish Sardines to CDO Funtastyk Young Pork Tocino, creatively incorporated into festive dishes like quiches, croquettes, and pasta.
Raffy Llagas, CDO’s SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, summed up CDO’s dedication to being a part of Filipino families’ celebrations, saying, “Food has the power to connect us, and at CDO, we believe that sharing a meal together is one of the best ways to celebrate the holidays.”
Celebrating with Special Guests
The festive brunch was filled with valuable holiday tips, thanks to insights from Filipino celebrities and influencers. Entrepreneur and content creator Small Laude, shared her own traditions and the essentials she always has on hand for Christmas. Among these, CDO Holiday Ham remains a constant in her home. Laude emphasized that no matter how busy the holiday season gets, the presence of CDO Holiday Ham at the table ensures that Christmas is always a time for family, good food, and cherished moments.
Gift-giving is also an important part of the Filipino holiday experience, and Nicole Anderson led a live tutorial on creating different Christmas baskets for every budget type. Using a variety of CDO products like the CDO Holiday Ham, Danes Queso de Bola, and other CDO favorites, Andersson showed how to craft thoughtful and delicious gifts that are sure to be appreciated by loved ones.
Chef Marky Bartolome, another highlight of the event, led a cooking demonstration showing guests how to make their own Noche Buena centerpiece using CDO Holiday Ham. He also shared how to create a stunning Christmas-themed charcuterie board featuring Danes Queso de Bola. For Chef Marky, the key to a memorable Noche Buena is using the finest, 100% premium ingredients—making CDO’s products an essential part of the holiday feast.
