Transforming Healthcare for Filipinos: CEO Awards Honoree Clinton Campos Hess

Unilab Group Chairman and CEO Clinton Campos Hess is being recognized for his contributions to the healthcare industry at the CEO Awards 2025.
Clinton Campos Hess, CEO and Chairman of United Laboratories, Inc. (Unilab), utilizes his deep business acumen and passion for service not only to carry the legacy of his family but also to steer the largest pharmaceutical and healthcare company in the Philippines toward a future marked by transformation, excellence, and compassion.
The Business Manual honors him in the CEO Awards 2025, a celebration of visionary leaders who are reshaping business landscapes by pushing boundaries and setting new standards of success.
Upholding Unilab’s Core Values
Founded by the Campos family, Unilab has long been a pillar of healthcare in the Philippines, providing millions of people with high-quality yet affordable medication. Under Hess’ leadership, the company has fortified its core values, Husay (Excellence) and Malasakit (Compassion). These values have been woven into the tapestry of Unilab’s organizational culture.
These guiding principles have influenced various areas of Unilab’s strategy. Healthcare, after all, should be regarded as a human right–not a privilege. A compassionate approach to healthcare goes beyond producing high-quality products and underscores the importance of making a difference in the lives of patients and communities. Every Filipino deserves access to the best possible healthcare solutions, and Unilab is pushing for efforts to make this possible.
Harnessing the Power of Transformative Partnerships
The Unilab Center for Health Policy (UCHP) is one of the outstanding initiatives under Hess’s leadership. UCHP is a collaborative platform for healthcare providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss pressing issues facing the Filipino healthcare system. Hess created UCHP to encourage open communication between private and public sectors to build a better future for healthcare policy in the Philippines and ensure that it is ultimately responsive to people’s needs.
To bring the best healthcare innovations to the Philippines, Hess forges partnerships with key global players in healthcare. These partnerships have strengthened Unilab’s positioning in Southeast Asia.
Legacy, Responsibility, and the Future of Healthcare
Clinton Campos Hess’s strength as a leader is evident not only in the growth and success of Unilab but also in his dedication to improving the healthcare landscape for future generations. As the third-generation leader of the Campos family at the helm of Unilab, Hess understands the weight of this responsibility.
Rather than resting on the laurels of past achievements, however, he actively seeks ways to bolster the delivery of healthcare in the Philippines. And this translates to a more inclusive, patient-centered, and innovative healthcare system that prioritizes both access and quality. Moreover, Unilab continuously evolves to meet the demands of a digital, interconnected world while preserving the human touch necessitated by compassionate care.
Clinton Campos Hess is more than just a leader. He is a steward of change, steering Unilab with an unwavering commitment to excellence, compassion, and the vision of a healthier tomorrow for the Philippines, making him worthy of the CEO Awards.
