Look Good, Feel Good: Meet Cris Aldeguer-Roque, President and CEO of Kamiseta
From clothing to now, skincare, Cris Aldeguer-Roque—the President and CEO of Kamiseta Group of Companies—shares her secret to success.
Cris Aldeguer-Roque began Kamiseta with PHP 6,000 and a dream. 30 years later, they now have 75 stores nationwide. And as someone who had already gone through the journey of starting a new company, she went and did it again just four years ago with Kamiseta Skin—hoping to dive into a new industry and to further build Kamiseta’s brand.
“I have always been very fascinated by the skin clinic business,” she shares. Not one to back away from the challenge of entering an industry with a completely different set of rules, Cris also felt that having a skincare arm would complement their fashion business. “Our advocacy is to promote beauty inside and out.”

Thriving Amid the Pandemic
After time and research, Cris began her new venture with the best that they can offer. “I started the Kamiseta Skin Clinic as a state-of-the-art facility, complete with top-of-the-line laser machines and excellent board-certified dermatologists at Ayala the 30th,” she shares proudly.
Even after a successful launch, Kamiseta Skin sought to consistently evolve its look and continue to innovate its offerings. “We are always on the lookout to offer the best for our customers and patients,” she adds.
Soon after, the clinic opened branches in other major locations like Bonifacio Global City and Grandia Place in Mother Ignacia, Quezon City, along with two new branches this year. Her businesses were running smoothly, expanding, even at a desirable rate—even through a pandemic. “While [the pandemic] was hard for a lot of us, we believe we were able to weather the challenge through dedication, perseverance, and hard work.”
At a time when so much was lost, Cris believed that she had to find wins and celebrate them. Her advice to young entrepreneurs, especially for extraordinary times like these, is simple: “Take the chance, we never know what’s out there unless we pursue it.”

On Finding a Work-Life Balance
When it came to making the most of one’s daily life, Cris was also happy to share her thoughts. “I always believe that for one to be successful and to be happy and to say that we live our lives to the fullest, we must live a balanced life.”
Likewise, having a work-life balance is a popular concept for good reason. “There should be a time for work and a time to enjoy,” she opines.
She has a similarly simple, yet powerful statement when it comes to how she approaches life. “[With] big or small opportunities, I always give my best. In the end, I don’t want to regret anything, so I can at least know in my heart that I gave it my best.”
Believing that her consistent drive to excel compounds greatly, she adds, “I can tell myself that I made the most out of the life that the Lord Almighty has given me. I don’t want to waste my time here nor do I want to waste the hard work of my parents. At the end of the day, I want to have made the most and best out of my life.”
