3 Leadership Lessons from AGC PHC CEO Archie Carrasco’s LEAD Awards 2025 Speech

The LEAD Awards 2025 honored the leadership and excellence of extraordinary talent in the publishing industry.
AGC Power Holdings Corp. hosted the LEAD Awards 2025 on April 25 to honor exceptional employees who have played a key role in driving the company’s growth, innovation, and overall mission.
Members of One MEGA Group, MEGA Global Licensing Group, Modern Media Group, the Marketing Services Group (including DigiStar PH, Events 100, Kliq, SUNI, and 7640), and AGC Power Holdings Corp. attended the much-anticipated event. The event kicked off on an inspiring note with a speech by Archie Carrasco, Chairman and CEO of AGC Power Holdings Corp.
In his speech, Carrasco remarked that the LEAD Awards 2025 was held “not only to recognize excellence but to celebrate the very spirit that drives it — leadership.”

“In every team, in every project, and behind every success story in our organization, there stands a leader,” he said. “Not always the loudest voice or the one with the title, but someone who shows up, brings others together, and moves forward even when the path is unclear.”
3 Leadership Lessons from Archie Carrasco
Carrasco went on to highlight three valuable lessons on leadership that every professional, regardless of industry, can take to heart and apply.
Leadership is not about being in charge
For Carrasco, being a leader does not stop at being at the helm of every team and every project. Instead, leadership is all “about taking care of those in your charge.”
“True leaders lead with empathy,” he said in his speech. “They listen. They protect. And they empower others to rise.”
His speech emphasized how leaders are not meant to just dictate, as a true leader knows how to serve others. Leadership, when coupled with empathy and selflessness, allows others to grow and be uplifted.
Leadership is consistency in motion
Apart from leading in the spirit of service, great leadership is also rooted in being consistent and reliable, both in times of triumph and crisis.
“It is not built on grand moments, but on the quiet discipline of showing up, day in and day out, with excellence and intention,” Carrasco explained.
Carrasco’s speech also highlighted that exceptional leaders are deeply dedicated to doing what is morally right. This kind of leadership reflects integrity and helps foster trust.
Leadership is about legacy
Ultimately, leadership isn’t about excelling at everything yourself—it’s about motivating others to grow and strive for their best. This is the lasting impact that every great leader should aspire to leave behind.
Carrasco beautifully described what such leaders do, saying, “They open doors, they lift people up, and they leave behind a trail of courage, kindness, and impact that outlives any award or applause.”
This highlights the true essence of leadership—not seeking recognition for oneself, but paving the way for others to succeed and empowering them to become great leaders in their own right.
Carrasco’s speech at the LEAD Awards 2025 captures the essence of a great leader. A great leader is someone who serves rather than chases power. A great leader, too, is someone who will be present and consistent no matter the circumstance, leaving a positive, inspiring legacy that motivates others to be the same.
