This Bank Launches New Travel-Friendly Credit Cards

Given the rise of revenge travel, Chinabank unveils a new set of travel-friendly credit cards that account holders can use in different parts of the world.

According to the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP), there are millions of cardholders in the country–around 126 million debit cards and 10.9 million credit cards. Despite being less compared to debit cards, reports say that credit cards are more popular in terms of usage since they accounted for 53.1% of card payments in 2022.

There are several types of credit cards and some of them can be used for traveling. These cards can provide several perks such as free flights, hotel stays, and even travel benefits like airport lounge access and the like.

The thing is, not all credit cards in the Philippines can provide users with such perks. To make credit cards more versatile and accessible in different parts of the world, Chinabank has launched new travel cards that aim to provide travel advantages that users can leverage.

The debut of these travel credit cards was announced on Chinabank’s 103rd anniversary, and according to the company, this set includes the Chinabank Destinations World Mastercard®, the Chinabank Destinations World Dollar Mastercard®, and the Chinabank Destinations Platinum Mastercard®.

“Being a business that holds its customers close to heart, we took into account the needs of many travelers when planning out their trips. Recognizing this, we carefully mapped out a solution to ensure that all they have to think of is living their best life in the destination of their choice,” says Aloysius Alday, Jr., the Chinabank Executive Vice President and Head of the Consumer Banking Segment.

“The Chinabank Destinations Mastercard® is set to be why you can travel more,” he added.

These can be complemented by extensive hotel and dining deals across the globe. More so, it also comes with a foreign transaction fee as low as 1.7%.

All of these Chinabank credit cards will be loaded with special features that are ideal for travel. And with a better understanding of financial matters and bank offers, Filipinos can leverage deals that can be beneficial for them or their businesses.

More so, it is by having proper knowledge of credit card usage that Filipinos can be more responsible with using these cards for both domestic and international purposes. In a sense, more familiarization with credit cards will also provide the utmost convenience for users—regardless of what situation they will be using their cards for.
